The Zendrive Score just received its largest makeover to date. We designed the new version to be simpler and easier to understand, providing the right kind of actionable insight into driver behavior that fleet managers need.
Zendrive score has been around for a few years and has seen a lot of use. But it hadn’t ever been changed before. We spoke with customers about how they use the Zendrive Score, what they liked and didn’t like about it, and how it helps them manage safety in their businesses.
With that information, we went back to the drawing board to come up with the best possible version 2. In this process of designing the new score, we focused on making it as Understandable and Actionable as possible. Here’s how we tackled it:

The dashboard also displays four Event Ratings that drive this overall score: hard braking, aggressive acceleration, excessive speeding, and risky phone use. These four are rated A through F like school grades.
Together, the Zendrive Score and the Event Ratings form a complete picture of a driver’s safety.
Zendrive calculates a grade for each dangerous driving event. In the Zendrive Dashboard, these grades show up as letters A-F.
